Attica Group, is serving 51 destinations and connecting 69 ports across Greece and international routes. They are known for their exceptional ferry services, operating under brand names such as Superfast Ferries, Blue Star Ferries, Africa Morocco Link, and Hellenic Seaways.
Project Overview

@Sea is an infotainment entertainment platform developed exclusively for Attica Group's fleet. Our collaboration involved a comprehensive overhaul, starting with the design of a user-centric UX/UI environment. We aimed to deliver a platform that not only entertains passengers but also provides essential information and services to enhance their onboard experience.

Challenge

The primary challenge was to create a unified UX/UI framework capable of accommodating a wide variety of content and services across different ships and destinations. Ensuring that passengers could seamlessly navigate this diverse range of infotainment and entertainment offerings while enjoying a cohesive experience was paramount.

Our Approach

Our approach was multifaceted. It began with in-depth research and planning. Attica Group's input was invaluable in understanding the preferences and expectations of their passengers. We architected a flexible UX/UI structure that allowed for tailored experiences based on specific areas, destinations, and ships. This adaptability guaranteed a consistent yet personalized user journey, encompassing infotainment, entertainment, and vital onboard services.

Solution Implementation

Moving from design to execution, we assumed the role of project leader during implementation. This phase involved close coordination with Intelligent, Attica Group's primary partner for onboard intranet systems. Rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) was conducted to validate that the platform met all functional requirements and was ready for deployment.

Results and Impact

While specific metric data is currently pending, @Sea holds immense promise. It has the potential to significantly elevate passenger satisfaction, engagement, and loyalty. By offering a diverse array of infotainment and entertainment options, from informative videos about destinations to streaming movies and onboard services, it enriches the overall onboard experience.

Future Opportunities

Our collaboration with Attica Group continues to evolve. We have taken on the responsibility of managing and refreshing @Sea's content to ensure it remains dynamic and captivating. Furthermore, we are actively exploring opportunities to expand the platform's content offerings, forging partnerships with content providers to enhance the infotainment and entertainment options available to passengers.
